Description

☛VAJRAVARAHI:
Vajravarahi is a Dakini & spiritual energy perceived to transmute the Five Negative Afflictions which represent five obstructions which obscure the true nature of the life & obstruct Buddhists as they seek illumination as they journey to enlightenment. These Five Afflictions are greed, hatred, delusion, jealousy and pride. Like all fearsome figure in Tantric Buddhism, she is protective & simply wrathful for beneficial reasons.
Vajravarahi is a Sanskrit compound word meaning Vajra Sow. [Tib. Dorje Pakmo]. A sow is a female pig [boar]. Painted arising from her up sprung hair this allegorically represents her subjugation of ignorance. In Buddhist art the pig [Boar] denotes ignorance, the snake – hatred & the Cockerel – greed. She is the red coloured tantric Dakini emanation of Transcendent Buddha Vairochana not be confused with blue Nairatma who is an emanation of Akshobhya or red Vajrayogini who is painted standing on two figures with less iconography. She is a very important figure because Vairochana the great illuminator, is the head figure in the Transcendent Buddha group around whom the other. Vairochana represents the possibility of Great illumination or [Enlightenment].

☛ FULL FIRE GOLD PLATING
The whole body of this Buddhist Statues of Green Tara has been gilded with gold by the ancient process of gold gilding using amalgam Gold. Mr Suman Shakya our inhouse Craftsman and Gold Plating expert has helped us in Gold plating this Buddhist Statues for us, This is a risky job for we heartly thank him for this contribution.
This process of Gold gilding is known as Mercury Gold Gilding (पारा Pārā सुन Suna जलप Jalap), Fire Gilding, or Fire gold plating(In Nepal). Gold gilded by this process is very good for the copper statues, as the statue gilded by this process will retain the gold for a very long time. Gold Gilded by this process is comparatively expensive to the modern electrochemical plating but due to its durability, it is still a preferred choice for many collectors and practitioners alike.

☛ LOST-WAX SYSTEM
This Buddhist Statues of Green Tara is made by the process of the Lost Wax system. This is a very complicated, time consuming and historic process of making metal sculptures.Which is why it is sometimes called Precision Casting as well. Hence the sculptures made by this process are comparatively expensive. There are many new, advanced and less time consuming methods of casting metal sculptures available as well. But due to the benefits provided by the traditional lost wax system in quality control and customization, we prefer the Loss wax system over Ceramic molding, or sand casting to make our Buddhist Statues.

☛ FACE: GOLD PAINTED
The face of this Buddhist Statues of Green Tara has been painted with gold. Reason for painting the face is to define important attributes of the Green Tara’s face, especially its eyes and Its lips. This normally cannot be obtained by metal carving. Even if we could it will be blurred out by oxidation with time. This is an important and sacred ritual of Buddhism to make the statue ready for its consecration and practice.
For painting the face of a statue we use a special gold variation, which is treated in a way which will transform the metal gold into a paintable powder gold. This is said to be 100% pure gold.
